We are a nationally recognised advice centre, endorsed by The Rt.Hon David Cameron, The Employment Tribunal Service, ACAS, Citizens Advice, OFSTED, The Samaritans, UK Employment Law Solicitors, GP surgeries UK wide, the NHS and other UK employers in the public and private sector - and you. Most of the above, including Childline, refer cases to us.
This helpline was founded in 2003 and was the very first UK helpline which provided assistance to individuals struggling with bullying issues, whatever the nature of the abuse. Today, the helpline is unique in that it is the only helpline of its kind, established by qualified employment law professionals, providing operational, timely, support to both adults and children – whether the bullying is in the home, the community, the playground, the workplace or on-line (ie: Cyberbullying).
Google analytics record ‘clicks’ to our website exceeding 5,000 per day. Just think about this, over 5,000 people in the UK, in need of assistance, go to our website every single day.
Whilst this helpline has so far been privately run and funded, it recognises the need for change. The helpline is currently looking for Volunteers, expertise and fundraisers in order to ensure stability and continuity moving forward. If you, or someone you know is able to Volunteer or can donate funds to our cause, we would like to hear from you.
Our Mission is to continue to work towards eradicating anti-social behaviour in all corners of our society and occasionally that involves campaigning, speaking out and raising awareness.
As a voluntary run organisation, we operate with limited resources and funds. All donations are gratefully received and 100% of every donation goes in to the running of our free helpline and website. By donating as little as a £1, you are ensuring a dedicated helpline is there when someone is reaching out for help.

Our helpline is completely reliant on donations and the funds raised from our step by step help guides. We ask for a small contribution of £10.00 for each download that goes directly to the National Bullying Helpline and helps us maintain our free dedicated helpline. Over recent months the Founder of the helpline has been working closely with ITV’s Coronation Street producers in the bullying storyline involving Mason, Dylan and Liam. These young, extraordinarily focused and gifted actors, wanted to capture the essence of a highly complex and contentious bullying- triangle that parents and schools generally struggle with. These actors wanted to ensure that their acting skills reflected the real world…. and, we hear, they certainly reduced some viewers to tears. We congratulate them as this, in turn, has helped to raise awareness and even save lives..
The National Bullying Helpline is pleased to announce that Actress Debbie Arnold has agreed to come on board as an Ambassador. Debbie is an Actress, an Author, an Altruist, a Writer and a Voice Artist. She has raised millions for charity. Apart from a distinguished stage abs voice-over career she has appeared in every UK TV soap over the last 30 years as a regular character. We are delighted to have her on board as Ambassador as she will help us convey some of the more important messages where harassment and sexual abuse is alleged. We want people to feel safe and comfortable and able to speak out.
"By becoming an Ambassador for us Debbie is making her position extremely clear where bullying and harassment are concerned. She is extraordinarily talented and a very strong, focused and professional woman. She will be able to help us convey some of our more important messages where harassment and sexual abuse is concerned and we are delighted to have her on board". Founder of The National Bullying Helpline.
The National Bullying Helpline is delighted to welcome Paul Gorton on board as Ambassador. Most of you will know Paul from the BBC show The Traitors. Paul has vision and purpose and he also has a certain strength of character that we welcome wholeheartedly. Paul’s objective is to work alongside us to help combat one particular aspect of anti-social behaviour that is all too often underestimated simply because it is not recognised as discrimination. We are talking about Gingerism and the hate crimes and trolling that tend to accompany this grotesquely unacceptable form of bullying. In particular, with Paul’s support, we will address the myth that implies Gingerism is not real. It is sadly all too real - as Paul will tell you. Paul was punched, headbutted and mocked as a young boy just because he had red hair. Even today, people think it acceptable to comment inappropriately or condescendingly because a person has red hair.
It is time Gingerism was better understood.
With Paul on board as Ambassador we will work together to raise awareness and gather statics. No UK statistics on Gingerism exist to our knowledge. We propose to address this while reaching out to those, whatever their age, who struggle with bullying due to the colour of their hair. It is intolerable, unacceptable, conduct that we need to eliminate as best we can.
Paul will be working alongside our current, long-standing, Ambassador Debbie Arnold.
“When you decide to call” was written by songwriters David MIndel and Adrian Bax and the Video, marketing and release involved Trevor Eyles and Jon Diamond. Debbie Arnold coordinated the entire project during her first month as Ambassador for the helpline and gifted the song to us. 441, the singers, are an extraordinarily talented and exciting group of four diverse young musicians who have formed a band to both make music and make a positive difference to the world we live in today. They have a tremendous future – so watch out for them.

Stamping out bullying in the workplace and elsewhere is a vital objective. Not only can bullying make people's lives a misery, but it harms business and wider society too. So I congratulate the National Bullying Helpline for its efforts to give practical support to those being bullied, and to make bullying a thing of the past
We acknowledge with sincere gratitude the support received from our Ambassador Debbie Arnold, from Band 441 and the above named team who produced our Song. We also acknowledge and thank Jamie Dry, Amanda Stocks (PR), TAG Asbestos, Simon Hayward and other individuals who have gifted monies to the helpline. Past supporters include: CJ de Mooi, Infotec, Accord, Hinton Newport, HR & Diversity Management Limited, W H Smith, Swindon Wildcats, Sainsbury's Stratton, Zurich, Masterclass, NASUWT, various NHS outlets, GP surgeries across the UK, Morgan Crucible, Charles Lucas & Marshall Solicitors, Taylor Fordyce Solicitors, Monahan's, The BBC and Swindon 105.5 FM (Community Radio), VAS Swindon - and many others. Our 'duty of confidentiality' is, and always has been, to our clients. We never have, nor ever will, release your details to a third party. That said, the general public have a legitimate expectation and from time to time they reasonably expect us, as an anti-bullying organisation, to 'speak out' to further our cause in the interests of best practice and to campaign for a stress-free, bully-free, world. This is what we do. This does not mean to say that The National Bullying Helpline ever will, or ever has, breached client confidentiality.
We have a robust Complaints Policy. If you have any concerns email us at; help@nationalbullyinghelpline.co.uk or write to PO Box 1276 Swindon SN25 4UX
